Position Description
Respondents who indicated they were employed prior to receipting benefits and respondents who indicated they were employed after receiving benefits were asked to describe the type of position they held. Six categories were offered as fixed responses in addition to an “other” category. In general, a larger proportion of respondents were employed in the service industry after they received benefits rather than before. Additionally, a larger proportion of respondents were employed in technical and skilled craft industries before they started to receive benefits. Six of the seven respondents who indicated “other” before they received benefits, did not specify the type of position they held and one respondent reported, “what ever was available.” The three individuals who indicated “other” after they received benefits did not specify the type of job they held. The Table 10 displays specific responses.
