Those who indicated they had been receiving Adult Public Assistance were asked if they would like the ability to save money beyond the $2,000 limit for an individual or $3,000 for a couple even if it meant they would lose their Adult Public Assistance check. A larger percentage of respondents indicated they did not want the ability to save money beyond the current limit than did. Table 23 displays specific responses.

Respondents were also asked if they would like the ability to set aside earnings in an Independence Account, a Retirement Account, or a Medical Savings Account. More respondents wanted the ability to set aside earnings in a specialized account than the ability to save money beyond the limit if it meant losing Public Assistance benefits. Table 24 displays specific responses.
