Subjects

Employment Barriers Survey #1 was sent to 1,000 randomly selected Alaskans with disabilities who received Medicaid and were between the ages of 18 - 60 years. To better represent the geographic dispersion of the state’s population a stratified random sample methodology was used. The sample size for each region was calculated as shown in the Table below.

A total of eight surveys were returned uncompleted and 324 surveys were undeliverable due to address problems, which reduced the total number of surveys disseminated to 676. Two hundred twenty seven surveys were returned completed, yielding an overall response rate of 33%. The response rates for each of the geographical regions are displayed in the Table below.
