Introduction
The Governor’s Council on Disabilities and Special Education (GCDSE) contracted with the Center for Human Development (CHD) at the University of Alaska Anchorage to provide evaluation services for the Alaska Works Initiative. The primary goal of the Alaska Works Initiative is to identify and remove barriers to employment for people with disabilities. This study was requested by the GCDSE to gather information about the population of people who participated in the working disabled Medicaid Buy-In Program. The purpose of the survey was to gather information about employment and experiences of participants in the Working Disabled Medicaid Buy-In program, and to determine how well the program was working for participants. This information was requested to guide policy recommendations.
