While broad generalizations should not be made based on the results of this study, the findings suggest several strategies for the Alaska Works Initiative to address the perceived employment barriers for working-aged people with disabilities who receive personal Care Assistance Services. Increase awareness of resources to assist people to secure employment (e.g., benefits counseling, vocational rehabilitation services).

Increase awareness of the resources available to assist people to pursue self-employment given the preference of this sample to work from home.
