If you are ready to begin looking for a job, we recommend using your nearest Job Center to begin your search. The Alaska Job Center Network can provide assistance to job seekers who experience a variety of barriers to employment. The State of Alaska has also been able to hire a group of folks called Disability Program Navigators who can also assist you. For more information about the DPN's see the attached information or you can contact the Navigator in your area.

Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR)

The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation is a federally funded program to assist people with disabilities to access and maintain employment. DVR offers a variety of services and supports. Customized Employment Grant (CEG)

The Customized Employment Grant or CEG is a special project of Vocational Rehabilitation. If you live in Anchorage, Juneau, Fairbanks, Kenai or the Matsu Valley, they have staff available to assist people who need assistance to customize a job to your specific needs.
