PASS - Plan for Achieving Self Support

PASS is a wonderful work incentive which allows people who receive SSI benefits to set aside resources in a seperate account for an employment goal including self employment. While PASS is only for people receiving SSI benefits, it can, in some situations be used by people receiving SSDI by setting aside all or a portion of their SSDI check into the PASS account making them eligible for SSI. For more information about PASS. The following site has examples and additional information. Be sure to mention this to your benefit planner when you have an analysis done and they will include it in your plan.
